Musically, the Mescaleros continued the genre mixing that Strummer was known for during his time with The Clash. This is just a great album. Craig Finn of The Hold Steady said it best; "Raise a toast to St. Joe Strummer. I think he might have been our only decent teacher." 'Nuff said.
